Due south

Last leg of the trip is coming up... It is now 7 pm Alberta time. I have been up and running since 2 am Alberta time, and there's more to go.
I'm pretty sure once I reach the hotel, I will crash. But we'll see.
7:15pm: On the plane, next you hear from me, I'll be at LAX.
7:35pm: the de-icing looks pretty cool... Can't be long now. Wonder how that works, I'll need to Google it later.
7:55pm: Still on the ground. But we have the emergency seats, so more legroom. And if we need to use it, god help us all. Nothing between us but mountain range.
8:03pm: seems like we're really taking off this time! Man, they're bad for faking us out all the time.
8:08pm, now we're thinking with portals!
8:59pm... Going into hour 20, and we have some turbulence. Literally. But I barely feel it. Showing signs of fatigue, though. We're going the nothing of Idaho or Oregon. And there's no light, so we just see black out the windows. Oh well, can't be on all the time. Two hours to go.

9:17pm: I was checking out my passport because I wanted to see my first stamp, and it reminded me of a few things. It's a blanket L1 visa, which is tied to my company and position. So, I can't change jobs without returning to Canada, and I can't exactly transfer either. I'd need to keep the same role. So, I can get promoted, but my official title can't change. I'm a Java Developer. Which is much less sexy than Senior programmer analyst/Application system specialist. Oh well, it's a title. I do expect to get promoted though, if I do really well, and that's totally something I can do.

9:25pm... Also, I'm questioning the info the monitors are showing me. According to that, it's 50°C outside and we've travelled over 10000 km from Calgary to basically Boise, ID. So I'd take that -50°C from earlier with a huge grain of salt.
9:34pm PST... We're descending into LA, and I can finally see signs of civilization in the dark, so that's nice. I forced the phone to PST since I have no idea when it'll see a proper signal again. Almost there!
9:52pm... And we're landed! That hotel bed will be sweet.
10:13pm... At baggage claim, must find wifi.

10:43... Have everything, waiting for hotel shuttle.
